Firewall related issues

Following is a list of issues that might arise when your firewall is misconfigured. Go to firewall instructions for more information.

After installing iFunPix/iFunMusic for the first time I got this message "Waiting for internet connection..." and iFunPix stays offline
  • Make sure that you have Internet access.
  • If you do and still getting this message then please check your firewall settings.
  • Note that you can also get this message when iFunPix servers are under maintenance. If you where able to use iFunPix at least once then you should probably wait a while before continuing with the troubleshooting.
After installing iFunPix/iFunMusic for the first time I got this message "Can't login, iFunPix server is under maintenance or blocked by your firewall" and iFunPix stays offline
  • You should check your firewall settings.
  • Note that you can also get this message when iFunPix servers are under maintenance. If you where able to use iFunPix at least once then you should probably wait a while before continuing with the troubleshooting.
When I'm accessing files on another computer in my local/home network it is really slow, why can't iFunPix go directly to that computer ?
  • iFunPix can detect when you are accessing computers on the same local/home network, that way if you are accessing your colleague's music in your office or accessing files located on another computer in your home network, it will stream them in maximum bandwidth directly to your computer.
  • For this mechanism to work you must have port 18121 open, for more information check your firewall settings.
