On your backup PC fun iFunPix application, go to "access", click the Backup button and follow the instructions.

You may backup from any PC to any PC, even from the same PC from one drive to another or to an MP3 player or to USB diskOnKey etc.

You may even use this feature to burn a CD with your favorite collections. Simply backup to a temporary folder and burn this folder to a CD. Follow the same procedure to burn your mp3/wma music collection to a CD.

What is the difference between the web interface and the iFunPix application ?

Both are offering almost the same functionality.
But only iFunPix application can be remotely accessed.

For example, if you have iFunPix application running on your home computer then you'll be able to access all the files on that computer from any web browser connected to the internet and even your mobile phone.

Without running iFunPix application at least on one computer, you will not be able to manage and share your own files

Most people find that iFunPix application is more comfortable, fast and accessible to use on their own computers (at work or home), while the web interface allows access when they are at friend's house or internet cafes.

Why can't I see my files in "access" ?

If you've not yet install iFunPix application now is a good time.

Yes, and this is actually an important feature of the system because it will help you manage all your media files even if they are scattered on a few computers at home/office

If you have a few computers at home (and office), you can install iFunPix application on all of them, login with your iFunPix user login and password.

The files from all the folders that you have set on all of the computers together will appear together under "access" when you login. Now you can manage all of them as if they where together.

Note :
* You can remote access with a web browser and mobile phone too.
* Don't forget the leave some or all of your PCs on and connected to the internet.

What happens when I copy new files to a folder that already defined ?

iFunPix is scanning your folders constantly and will detect the new files instantly (there is no need to define the folder again).
If you've mapped that folder to a Web Album then those files will be shares automatically.

To view those new files, goto "access" and click on one of the "Recently Added" items on the left.

For instance, if you have a digital camera that synchronize your photos to some folder, and iFunPix already have this folder defined in the "Folder Manager", then the new photos will be available automatically under "Recently Added"

How can I access iFunPix using a mobile phone or PDA ?

You can access iFunPix using any device with a web browser like a cell phone, PDA or BlackBerry.
Just navigate to the following address :
http://mobile.ifunpix.com
It is better if you'll set this address as a bookmark first. You can also send yourself SMS as a bookmark from your web page.

Using your mobile phone or PDA you'll be able to view your public albums and listen to your public music. You'll be able to navigate to your friend's page and view their Web Albums and music too.

Note : You'll need a WAP 2.0 enabled mobile phone with an internet connection (GPRS, 1X, 3G etc.) or PDA with wireless connection.
Some mobile providers are blocking access to the internet.

What about security ?

Viewing your Web Albums is limited according to the rights that you yourself give. By default all your files are totally private for your eyes only.

The rights are controlled and enforced, on a user base, by the iFunPix servers using two sets of public/private keys 1024-bits for encryption, MD5 hashing and token mechanism. This technology is there to make sure that your media is private and secured, nobody can access it (unless you give your permission) and nobody can pose as you to change those permissions.

You can deny access to your Web Albums at any time you want.

What is a UPnP enabled DMR (Digital Media Receiver) ?

Digital media receiver (DMR) is a term used to describe a broad range of consumer electronics devices that let you play digital media (such as the digital music, video, and picture files on your computer) in any room in your home—even in rooms that do not have a personal computer.

DMRs are available in numerous sizes, shapes, and configurations from a variety of manufacturers. Depending upon the model, the device might be able to play only audio, audio and video, or audio, video, and pictures. Some DMRs have integrated displays, while others connect to TVs or other display devices.

DMR manufacturers use a variety of names to describe their devices.

iFunPix support for DMR is coming soon.

How can I use iFunPix sharing inside MSN Messenger MSN Messenger ?

While chatting with your friend in the regular MSN Messenger conversation window,
open the Actions menu and select 'Start iFunPix sharing'.
After the other user has accepted the invitation, the conversation window will grow to the right and will include the 'iFunPix sharing' area.

Hover with the mouse over the upper border of the new area to browse your Web Albums.
Hover with the mouse over the left border of the new area to view session history.

If you see this message - 'iFunPix doesn't recognize you...' you should setup the MSN Messenger E-mail address in your iFunPix profile first.

Note : Both users must have the iFunPix application installed on their PC for the sharing to work (there is no need to actually login or share pictures from this copy of the application though).

Is it safe to use my password from remote PC like at my office, internet cafe or WiFi network ?

This icon near your password means that your password gets encrypted using MD5 hash algorithm (RSA Data Security, Inc 128 bit).

Password will be encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet.

Encryption makes it very difficult for unauthorized people to view information traveling between computers. It is therefore very unlikely that anyone read your password as it traveled across the network.
